I just came across CopyHandler after having been a TeraCopy user for quite some time. CopyHandler seems to have two significant advantages over TeraCopy: a free version that one can use even in a commercial setting, and support (your forum clearly shows support being provided in contrast to TeraCopy's forum). There is one important feature that TeraCopy provides though that I do not see in CopyHandler, but I am posting this in the hope that you will tell me you do also. The feature is auto-validate-after-copy. TeraCopy can (optionally) generate checksums for source and destination and flag the result if different. It takes longer to write-then-read-back instead of just a write but I do not mind at all: I use it ALL the time--it provides tremendous peace of mind.
So when you report a copy is successful--does that mean you have validated the copy in some way?
Thank you, ~~Michael Sorens

re the note above; I'm talking about when you are transferring files file using the '(ch) copy to and (ch) move to' options on the 'right click' context menu

great application thank you. I would like to automatically open the folder that I have just copied a file into. This way I can delete an older file that I wish to replace (for instance a older software version in a setup file database). It's a pain having to copy a file, then find the folder again with explorer to do this. Is this possible with current version? Can't find any threads. Should this be in the 'ideas' section? Cheers

Which version of CH did you use? I have made some significant changes in the code that could resolve this problem. Please check on 1.32beta-svn245 if the problem still persists. If yes - submit a bug report according to http://www.copyhandler.com/en/submit-a-bug-report.

What does it mean stopped working? It crashed? Didn't launch? Could you be more specific? Do you still have the task files from C:\Users\'username'\AppData\Local\Copy Handler\Tasks ?

I started using CH on WinXP a few months before the Win7 Release Candidate program was launched, and when I migrated to the RC on all my PC's, of course installed CH on them. Currently I run two rigs, my main PC, which is a Core 2 Quad @ 64-bit, and an older workhorse, a P4 32-bit machine. Both are running the official build 7100 release of Win 7. I'm using the most recent CH beta on both, and for the most part, they run just fine, beyond a few twitchie issues with extracts from 7zip.
However, one thing that does not work, on either machine, are the shortcuts. CH properly catches click-n-drags, but on attempting to use any shortcut, the job just dings done instantly, with nothing having been copied/moved. The same issue seems to be effecting the special copy functionality as well - I tried to copy the folder structure the other day and had the same result. The done bell sounded immediately, and no folders were actually created. No entries appear in the system logs at all that would indicate a problem - it's like the actual copy just isn't firing.
Neither item is of massive importance to me - the main functionality works, as I said. Just wanted to put the report out there for you.
